Description
This is an extremely nice and hard to find piece of carnival chalkware representing an American WWII soldier. It can be classified as an action figure in a way, as he pushes forward, machine gun in hand. This is what's called a half piece, in that it's flat and unpainted on the back. It's also a solid and quite heavy piece. It's about 10" x 9" x 2.5", and is painted with reds, browns and blues. The original winners of the carnival prize wrote their names on the bottom, as was the custom back then. We make it out to say Bell and Pete, Donna and Pat, August 1944, Lincoln Fair," or something close to that. Condition is very good; no chips or cracks, minimal flaking, and much glitter still left. Very nice souvenir and collectible. Be the buyer! Please check the photograph(s); they are an important part of the description. If you have questions, please ask before bidding.
