Vintage Cardboard Circus Clown Game, c 1940, Modern Woodmen Life Insurance
Colorful and fun vintage clown game, an advertising item from Modern Woodmen of America Life Insurance Company. This hand-held game is played by trying to get the ring (attached by a string) onto the clown’s nose. Made of thick cardboard, and appearing to date to around 1940 or so. Could be earlier… About 9 5/8” tall.
CONDITION:
Some normal handling wear and creasing, normal age toning and normal vintage soiling, some minor edge wear and corner wear, etc.

Significant crease at area where handle meets clown’s neck.
Item actually bends here without pressure applied, a little floppy.

Pencil or ink mark on nose.
·
Some small surface tears and stains on handle, and ring worn a bit around edges.
·
Some small stains and marks on back of clown and back of ring.
·
String seems firmly attached.
Any props not included.
